Headquartered in Atlanta, the firm was founded by longtime business partners John Tirrill and Pitt Hyde, who together bring over 30 years of shared experience leading successful multifamily investments and developments across the Southeast.
Tirrill-Hyde is a new company with a clear mission: to create enduring value through intentional development, disciplined investing, and long-term capital stewardship. While the leadership team previously collaborated through META Real Estate Partners, Tirrill-Hyde launches with a fresh perspective, grounded in experience and focused on long-term growth and impact.
The firm’s investment approach spans three complementary strategies:
- Apartment Development – Ground-up projects designed for long-term impact in both urban and suburban markets across the Southeast.
- Acquisitions – All-cash acquisitions of existing apartment communities, executed with speed and certainty.

In addition to sourcing new opportunities, the firm will also assume asset management of the legacy portfolio originally built under META. This includes $1B of real estate investments which are predominately apartments in the Southeastern US.
