CERRITOS, Calif., July 14, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — In From Broke to Broker, real estate broker and author Varun Ish Nanda shares how his first U.S. home purchase in 2015 left him emotionally betrayed—not financially broke, but deeply disillusioned. That moment launched a ten-year journey that would transform his life, lead to the founding of Nanda Realty, and inspire a broader movement rooted in ethics, empowerment, and innovation.
“I wasn’t broke in my pocket—I was broke in my why,” Nanda reflects.
A Boutique Brokerage Rooted in Purpose
Nanda Realty was built as a response to everything Varun wished he’d received as a homebuyer: honesty, patience, and real advocacy. Unlike high-volume firms, his boutique brokerage features just four to five handpicked agents—each chosen for integrity, not sales pressure. Together, they prioritize service over commission, guided by the core values behind N.A.N.D.A: Noble, Amicable, Nimble, Dependable, and Accessible.
From Broke to Broker: A Human-First Blueprint
More than a memoir, Nanda’s book is a roadmap for doing real estate the right way. Each chapter tells a true story of:
- Young families overcoming fear to buy their first home
- Aging parents moving into safer, single-story homes
- Burned-out professionals finally finding peace
Each story proves one thing:
When done right, real estate doesn’t just close deals—it restores trust and dignity.
From Broke to Broker is now available in hardcover and e-book formats via Lulu.com and major retailers.
Mass Domes: Resilient Community Centers for Earthquake Zones
In the earthquake-prone city of Ridgecrest, CA, Varun Ish Nanda is developing Mass Domes—a first-of-its-kind dome-based community center focused on Music, Arts, Spirituality, and Sustainability.
Located just minutes from the city, the project sits on a five-acre parcel of land already acquired by Nanda. Designed for remote and underserved areas along California’s fault lines, these domes will serve daily community needs and also convert into emergency shelters during earthquakes and natural disasters.
The Ridgecrest pilot will feature nine domes, including spaces for creative expression, wellness, veterans’ collaboration, and recreation—all to be run by local residents. Planning is already underway in coordination with Ridgecrest’s city leadership, including the Mayor.
Those interested in sponsoring a dome, investing, or becoming a project partner are invited to connect.
