Frontline Insurance has selected AI agents from insurtech company Roots to improve its claims and underwriting operations.
As a multi-state property and casualty insurer, Frontline offers solutions across the south-eastern US.
Roots’ AI agents are driven by InsurGPT, a specialised genAI technology developed for the insurance industry.
Frontline is deploying Roots across various operational areas to enable employees to concentrate on ‘value add’ tasks, the insurtech operator said in a statement.
Frontline Insurance CIO Kurt Bonigut said: “Roots showcased their knowledge of the industry, bringing a level of expertise to our discussions that we were simply not getting from other vendors. The Roots team critically understood our vision and delivered a customer centric solution. We are very excited about this partnership.”
Roots co-founder and CEO Chaz Perera stated: “Manual processes limit insurance organisations’ ability to scale teams, increase efficiencies and positively impact customer service. With Roots, Frontline will be able to implement cutting-edge AI for a more streamlined approach. We look forward to partnering with Frontline to help reach its business goals.”
Last month, Roots underwent a rebranding from its former name Roots Automation.
The company serves the insurance industry through its AI platform, which utilises pre-trained, industry-specific AI agents to help insurers optimise their operational processes.
In September 2024, Roots secured $22.2m in a Series B funding round, led by Harbert Growth Partners.
The round also saw the participation from MissionOG, Vestigo Ventures, and Liberty Mutual Strategic Ventures.
“Frontline Insurance adopts Roots AI agents ” was originally created and published by Life Insurance International, a GlobalData owned brand.
